Wuzhishan City, Hainan Province, Li Elderly Quality Of Life And Influencing Factors Analysis

Objective: In order to study the present situation and related factors of the quality of life among Lizu elderly population in Wuzhishan city, and to provide evidence for improving local health condition.Method: 362 cases of Lizu elderly people who were investigated by a random sampling procedure were interviewed by using MOS SF-36 questionnaire. The data was analyzed by using SPSS 11.00 software.Results: 1. Among Lizu elderly people, prevalence rate of chronic diseases is higher of the all diseases (417.1‰); Survey results show that this was caused by unhealthy diet habit, low education, and unreasonable allocation and distribution of medical resources in rural area. 2.The average of quality of life is 52.98 ± 11.87. The quality of life among Lizu elderly people is not enough high. There may be considered three reasons. Firstly, chronics are very popular in local area. The chronics greatly influence the health of Lizu elderly people and reduce their physiology functions. Secondly, education degree affects the health of Lizu elderly people. Most of Lizu elderly people are illiteracies (76.5%), and they lack the consciousness of self-health care. Thirdly, most of Lizu people have a big family. Children couldn't spend enough time to attend their parents. Local economic income is relatively low and lead to the low level quality of life. 3.13 main factors that may affect the quality of life were analyzed by analysis of variance and T-test. These factors include sex, age, education degree, marriage, living source, economic condition, cost of medical, chronic or not, family structure, smoking, drinking, living environment, life satisfaction. The result shows that the 12 main factors influence the quality life at some point except sexAAccording to the result analyzed by repeated linear regression, the main factors affecting the quality of life are chronic, age, economic condition and family structure.5.It is expected to devote major efforts to carrying out new cooperative medical and health care system in minority nationality regions. This benefits to improve the quality of life among minority nationality elderly people.Conclusion: the level of quality of life among Lizu elderly people is not high. Many factors influence the quality of life, but the most important factor is chronic. It is suggested that some measure should be adopted to prevent and cure the chronic for Lizu elderly population, devote major efforts to carrying out new cooperative medical and health care system.
