| Objective To investigate the prevalence of metabolic syndrome (MS) by diagnosis of MS of ATPⅢ. CDS, IDF and its components in individuals in Shanxi Xishan Coal And Electricity Power Co Ltd. To explore related risk factors of MS.Methods Investigation individuals of guandi, Shanxi Xishan Coal And Electricity Power Co Ltd, including investigation of questionnaire , inspect blood pressure, height, weight, waistline, hipline; plasma glucose, lipid. liver function etc. If FPG≥5.6mmol/l. make OGTT (75g glucose).Results Investigation 3179 individuals aged 20-60 years (men 2777, women 402). Useing standard diagnosis of ATPⅢ,CDS. IDF, the age-adjusted total prevalence of MS among people aged 20-60 years was 5.16%, 10.40%, 10.10%, respectively; That of obesity was 1.81%, 26.16%, 18.51%; That of hypertension was 49.16%,33.62%.49.16% ; That of hyperglycemia was 5.25%, 5.54%, 11.66%; That of dyslipidemia of CDS was 36.98%; That of hyperglyceridemia of ATPⅢ, IDF was 33.55%. and that of low-HDL was 22.31%.The prevalence of MS in ATPⅢ:2.04% at 20 years group; 2.77% at 25 years group; 4.05% at 30 years group; 4.50% at 35 years group; 7.07% at 40 years group; 7.84% at 45 years group; 8.50% at 50 years group; 11.19% at 55 years group. That of MS in CDS: 2.04% at 20 years group; 6.15% at 25 years group; 7.46% at 30 years group; 10.07% at 35 years group; 13.67% at 40 years group: 18.01% at 45 years group: 17.00% at 50 years group: 22.38% at 55 years group. That of MS in IDF: 0 at 20 years group: 5.54% at 25 years group; 5.76% at 30 years group; 11.69% at 35 years group; 17.04% at 40 years group; 17.37% at 45 years group; 13.16% at 50 years group; 21.68% at 55 years group. The prevalence of MS and its components in ATPⅢ, CDS, IDF was increasing accompany with aging.Pearson correlation analysis and logistic regression analysis show: age, the kinds of work, drinking history, sweet food, watching TV, the way of going to work, spots were single risk factors for MS.Conclusion The age-adjusted total prevalence of MS in Shanxi Xishan Coal And Electricity Power Co Ltd: ATPⅢ 5.16%, CDS 10.40%, IDF 10.10%. Accompany with aging , the prevalence of MS and its components was increasing, above 40 years is as 3～5 times many as 20 years. Aging, drinking, watching TV, eating oil food were risk factors, but doing exercises, going to work by a bicycle or walking . eating sweet food were protective factors. |
