Chinese Herbal Medicine Oscillation System Of Micro-calorimetry Studies

Traditional Chinese medicine and drugs are our nation's culture valuables. They are empirical generalizations during our people's fighting for diseases in the past thousands of years. Humans' vital movements such as cardiopalmus, emotion and diet etc. all have periodic property. The parenchyma of cyclicity is body's oscillating movement. When man had disease the oscillation would have disordered. Then the Chinese herbs enter into the process of blood circulation and metabolism so that they can regulate these abnormal oscillations and reinforce or strengthen body functions. So more researchers pay more attention to the study of activity of natural drugs by high-tech methods.In this paper the oscillating reaction systems of six kinds of Chinese natural drugs were studied by microcalorimetry. The power-time curves of oscillating systems were determined by TAM Air 8-channel calorimeter (Sweden). Analyzing the curves we can obtain the thermokinetic parameters. All of the above provide theoretical basis for drug nature, drug effect and reasonable usage of Chinese drugs. 1.The chief contents 1.1 The preparation of oscillating systems' reaction substrateThe preparation of herb total extracted substances: we weigh 60 gramme dried Chinese natural drugs, extract it three times by reflux, filter the liquor under low pressure, concentrate the filtrate, fix on the volume to 100 milliliter, then obtain the total extracted substances . Its' concentration is 0.60 gramme per milliliter.The preparation of herb powder: we dry the herbs, comminute them into powder and griddle the powder with screen .1. 2 The study on the oscillating reaction system of Chinese natural drugs Studying the oscillating reaction system of Chinese natural drugs bymicrocalorimetry, we can obtain the induction period (tjn), the first oscillating period (tp>i) and the second oscillating period (tp>2) from power-time curves. According to the thermodynamic theory, the reaction order (fin, fp,i, fp,2)and the apparent activation energy(Ejn, EPji, Ep>2) were calculated. So the nonlinear relationships between the induction period, the oscillating period and the concentration, temperature were established. 2,The main innovative points in the thesis2.1 Microcalorimetric method is a new method for studying the oscillating reaction system of Chinese natural drugs. It can directly measure the thermodynamic process of oscillating systems. It can not only provide thermodynamic data but also kinetic data. So microcalorimetric method is a new and potential method that is more convenient and credible than potentionmetry and conductometry.2.2 Recently, the study on oscillating system mainly focus on organic substrate. Although the oscillating systems of Chinese herbs have been reported, the study is limited and unsystematic. In this thesis, we take the oscillating system of herb powder and herb total extracted substances as study object so as to seek the relationships between the Chinese natural drugs and human's vital movements. The study provides the theory basis for the reasonable application of Chinese natural drugs.
