Neijing is a classic ancient medical book which explored and discussed the body constitution in the earliest time. Started from the Whole, took the theories of Yin and Yang, Five elements, Zang-fu and sentiment as the basis of the body constitution theory, Neijing well explained the problems, such as the features, forming and classification of constitution, and also the relationship between constitution and the development and prevention of diseases whereby founded the theoretical basis of the body constitution theory of traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Donyishoushibaoyuan is a medical book pertaining to the body constitution written by Lee Jima in the late Korea Dynasty. The core of this book, as the basis of the four inages medicine, leads the study of body constitution in Korea medicine. In this dissertation, we begin with the research and analysis of the connotation of body constitution in the Neijing and Donyishoushibaoyuan, and then compare the difference between them. This work will have positive effects on the modern study of the body constitution. .This dissertation has four parts:The first part is the overview of study and exploration of the connotation of body constitution theory in Neijing. In this part, we first summarize the connotation of body constitution theory in Neijing, and then explore the source of the conception of body constitution in Neijing, study the connotation of body constitution in Neijing, point out that the connotation of body constitution in Neijing included two aspects, extrinsic signs and intrinsic mechanism and also analyze the influence of body constitution in Neijing.In the second part, we present the research overview of body constitution theory and study of connotation of body constitution in Donyishoushibaoyuan. In this part, we summarize the major contents of body constitution theory, classify the standards and process of research in the body constitution and analyze the conception, connotation of body constitution in Donyishoushibaoyuan which made good foundation for the further study with the first part.The third part is the comparison study on the connotation of body constitution in Neijing and Donyishoushibaoyuan.
