The optimum extraction process was as follows: Tanshinone ⅡA was extracted and refluxed with 70% ethanol for three times, with 3 time's solvent volume amount and extraction time one hour for each..The optimum extraction process of Astragalosides and other essences was selected with L₁₈(3⁷) orthogonal experimental design as the Astragalosides content index.. The extraction process was optimized by the amount of menstruum, extraction hours and times. The Astragalosides was extracted with water for three times and 4.5 times volume amount of menstruum for each, one hour would be appropriate for each extraction.All ingredients in this recipe are non-toxic and non-irritative, with no special requirements in preparation. Colla cornus cervi was selected as an adjuvant for the formulation processes of tablets which are easy to carry and take allowing for chronics. The as prepared tablets are with high hardness and short disintegration time, thus a method of direct whole powder press was chosen.In the quality control study, Thin Layer Chromatography was used for identification of Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae Bage, Astragalus membranaceus Bge and Corgdalis Yanhusuo. A method for determining the content of Tanshinone ⅡA as index was founded.The stability of the preparation was investigated, the packed tablets was used toinvestigate the quality and the period of validity. Room temperature and accelerated tests were also performed and the results were stable.
