| Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic autoimmunity disease of which the main symptom is symmetry multiple arthritis. It is reported that the incidence rate of RA is 0. 3 ~ 0. 5% according to the rudiment epidemiological investigation in our country. The ratio of male to female is 1:3. RA regardless of for traditional Chinese medicine or Western medicine, is still a kind of difficult treat disease. Major is the cause of this disease with pathologyical mechanism lack all-sidely thorough understanding, and lack peculiarness laboratory index in the early stage of disease, so early diagnosis is very difficult. It is also far from being treated in the early stage. Though it is reported that traditional Chinese medicine works well on it,but its research is restricted due to various classification standard of different signs of RA, and no unified standard and reproducibility of clinical effect. This research stresses on taking good advantage of seeking disease causes and determining treatment from patterns identified of TCM under the direction of Pro. Hu Yinqi, we choose the Demp-heat Obstruction Syndrome and the Cold-demp Obstruction Syndrome as an enter point to study the early stage of RA by TCM rules, we also discuss the relationship between the Demp-heat Obstruction Syndrome \ the Cold-demp Obstruction Syndrome and biochemistry signs and to promotethe early diagnosis and early therapy of RA and conclude the clinical curative effect of a series of fixed formula and the mechanism inside. The following is our research in two aspects:1. Literature study1. 1Advances in TCM of RAThe general situation of study on the TCM syndromes of RA and advances in TCM treatment of RA were reviewed on the basis of looking up a great amount of literature of RA.It was found that treatment of RA with TCM has the following advantages: good therapeutic effect and less side-effect etc. It was analysed the questions in the study on TCM syndromes and treatment of RA.The thoughts and methods of research in future were advanced.1.2Advances in Western Medicine treatment of RAIn this part, we summarized the advances of treatment of Western Medicine , there wasn't an effective medicine be found with the exact effection till now, it make the treatment of RA in Western Medicine in a research situation. Most medicines had more side-effect than they worked, so we must search a point which can combine the treatments of RA in TCM and Western Medicine.1. 3The study on self-antibody in the early stage of RA To chiefly introduce four kinds of self-antibodies in the early stage of RA related with the study, Anti-keratinAntibodies, Anti-perinuclear Factor, Anti-citrul linated Peptide Antibody. Anti-RA33/RA36 were included.2. Clinical study2.1 The relationship between the Demp-heat Obstruction Syndrome \ the Cold-demp Obstruction Syndrome and some biochemistry signsTo establish the standard of syndrome integral of the Demp-heat Obstruction Syndrome \ the Cold-demp Obstruction Syndrome of RA, the result showed that the expressions of RF and CRP in the Demp-heat Obstruction Syndrome \ the Cold-demp Obstruction Syndrome of RA are different significantly(P<0. 01 ), the level of RF and CPR in the Demp-heat Obstruction Syndrome was higher than that of the Cold-demp Obstruction Syndrome of RA, and CCP was specific to the diagnosis of the Demp-heat Obstruction Syndrome in the early stage of RA.All these were the base of the future study on the regulation of syndrome and aggressive therapy in the early stage of RA.2.2The clinical therapeutic effect evaluation in treating the the Demp-heat Obstruction Syndrome \ the Cold-demp Obstruction Syndrome of RAAll the patients were divided into four groups in random : the treatment group of the Demp-heat Obstruction Syndrome, the control group of the Demp-heat Obstruction Syndrome, the treatment group of the Cold-demp ObstructionSyndrome of RA, the control group of the Cold-demp Obstruction Syndrome of RA. Relevant criteria were then used to compare those groups in terms of general condition of the patients, clinical symptoms and signs and results from laboratory tests.All the data collected have been statistically analyzed with SPSS10. 0 software; the count data with Chi-squared test and the measuring data with T-test.Clinical research result shows,all the total effective rate of the treatment groups are better than the control groups* (P<0. 05 ) .To all the two groups of Demp-heat Obstruction Syndrome, the improvement of patients' levels of RF, ESR, CRP > IgA , IgG , C3 are greater than the control group (P<0. 01, P<0. 05), but the improvements of IgM, C4 are little. ( (P>0. 05) .To all the two groups of Cold-demp Obstruction Syndrome, the improvement of patients' levels of RF, ESR, CRP, IgG are greater than the control group(P<0. 01, P<0. 05),but the improvements of IgM, IgA, C3, C4 are little.
