Tcm Clinical Evidence Of Small Bowel Diseases Study

Objectives: (1)Summing up the main syndromes of small intestine diseases and discussing the relation of the syndromes. (2)Summing up the main symptoms of every syndrome of small intestine diseases.(3)Probing into the relation of the small intestine diseases between Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine.Methods: (1) Research on cases of different syndromes of small intestine diseases: First, we sum up the archaic literature of small intestine of Traditional Chinese Medicine and put forward the main symptoms and familiar syndromes. Second, we investigate 220 cases suffering small intestine diseases of Traditional Chinese Medicine and record their symptoms, tongue coating and pulses, make sure the pathogenesis, location, nature and tendency of the syndromes. Then we sum up the main symptoms and syndromes of small intestine disease. (2)Research on Traditional Chinese Medical syndrome of small intestine diseases of Western Medicine: We investigate 284 cases, among them 126 cases suffer small bowel obstruction and 92 cases suffer acute enteritis and 66 cases suffer irritable bowel syndrome .We analyze and sum up the main syndromes. In addition, we study the relation of small intestine diseases between Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine.Results: (1) There are eight syndromes in small intestine diseases of Traditional Chinese Medicine. They are the qi stagnation in the small intestine, the simultaneous occurrence of cold and heat in the small intestine, the cold of insufficiency in the small intestine, the damp-heat in the small intestine, the insufficiency of body fluid in the small intestine, the heat of excess in the small intestine, the fluid retention in the small intestine and the blood stasis in the small intestine. Qi stagnation in the small intestine has 44 cases, account for 20%; Simultaneous occurrence of cold and heat in the small intestine has 37 cases , account for 16.8% ;Cold of insufficiency in the small intestine has 37 cases, account for 16. 8%;Damp-heat in the small intestine has 21 case, account for 9. 5%; Insufficiency of body fluid in the small intestine has 9 cases, account for 4. l%;Heat of excess in the small intestine has 5 cases ,account for 2.3%; Fluid retention in the small intestine has 4 cases ,account for 1.8% ;Blood stasis in the small intestine has 3 cases , account for 1.4% . (2)The high rate of symptoms of qi stagnation in the small intestine is pain in the navel-abdomen, abdominal flatulence, borborygmus , exacerbation of abdominal flatulence and pain due to emotional fluctuation, alleviation of abdominal flatulence and pain due to flatus, liability to sigh, pale and reddened tongue, white coating and taut pulse; The high rate of symptoms of simultaneous occurrence of cold and heat in the small intestine is pain in the navel-abdomen, abdominal flatulence, borborygmus, preference for warmness and pressing in thenavel-abdomen, dry mouth, constipation, yellow urine, reddened tongue , yellow coating, taut and rapid pulses; The high rate of symptoms of deficiency-cold in the small intestine is pain in the navel-abdomen, abdominal flatulence, preference for warmness and pressing, borborygmus, diarrhea, listlessness, poor appetite, pale tongue, white coating and deep pulse; The high rate of symptoms of damp-heat in the small intestine is abdominal flatulence, pain in the navel-abdomen, burning heat in the navel-abdomen, borborygmus, dry mouth, viscous month, heaviness in the body, unsmooth defecation , reddened tongue, yellow coating , rolling and rapid pulses; The high rate of insufficiency of body fluid in the small intestine is pain in navel-abdomen, constipation, dry mouth, reddened tongue, less coating, thread and rapid pulses; The high rate of symptoms of heat of excess in the small intestine are pain in the navel-abdomen, abdominal flatulence, burning heat in the navel-abdomen, dry mouth, constipation, yellow urine,reddened tongue, yellow coating and rapid pulse; The high rate of symptoms of fluid retention in the small intestine is borborygmus, pain in the nave...
