The "double Solid Links" Stitch Cardiac Hypertrophy In The Hyperthyroid Heart Disease In Rats

Objective To investigate the influence and affected principle of "Shuanggu Yitong" acupuncture therapy on thyroid function,cardiac indexes, superoxide dismatase(SOD) , glutath ione peroxidase (GSH-PX) activity and malondialdehyde (MDA ) concentration in cardiac hypertrophy induced by thyroxine(Thy) in rats. duced by L 2thyroxine (L 2Thy) in rats.Methods Cardiac hypertophic model of rats was induced by a continued administration of Thy 20mg ? kg-1 po once daily for 60d. 50 rats were averaged to 3 groups randomly: normal group(A) with 15 rats, model group(B) with 15 rats,"Shuanggu Yitong " group(C) with 20 rats.Normal group was controlled by B and C groups.There wasn't any therapy on model group.We applied acupoint Guanyuan,Zusanli and Neiguan for C group.Giving acupuncture therapy once a day ,15 minutes each time for 60 days .The rats were killed on the end of the therapy.The thyroid function and cardiac indexes were examined. The act ivity of SOD, GSH-PX and concent rat ion of MDA were measured by colorimet ric analysis. Results 1, The weight of thyroid in model group was more than that of control group.There was remarkable difference between model group and control group(P < 0.05).2, The time of tolerating the short of oxygen decreased in model group.Compared to the control group, it had a very remarkable difference (P < 0.01) .The time of tolerating the short of oxygen increased in "Shuanggu Yitong " group. Compared to the model group, it had a remarkable difference (P< 0.05) .3 , The density of FT3 ,FT4 increased remarkably in model group. Compared to the control group, it had a very remarkable difference (P < 0.01) . The density of FT3, FT4 decreased in "Shuanggu Yitong " group remarkably. Compared to the model group,the density of FT3 had a remarkable difference (P< 0.05) ,and the density of FT4 had a very remarkable difference (P < 0.01) .4 > The rate of thyroid absorting 131I in model group increased significantly,compared to the control group, it had a remarkable difference (P< 0.05 ). The rate of thyroid absorting 131I in "Shuanggu Yitong " group decreased significantly, compared to the model group, it had a very remarkable difference .5, The heart indexes of HW/BW,LVW/BW, LVWT,VST increased significantly in model group. Compared to the control group,it had a very remarkable difference (P<0.01 ) . The heart indexes of HW/BW, LVW/BW ,LVW T, V ST decreased significantly in the "Shuanggu Yitong " group. Compared to the model group, it had a very remarkable difference (P< 0.01 ) .6,The activity of SOD, GSH-PX decreased, the production of MDA increased in model group. Compared to the control group,it had a very remarkable difference (P< 0.01) . The "Shuanggu Yitong " group could increased the activity of SOD, GSH-PX,and decreased the production of MDA. Compared to the model group, they had a remarkable difference (P< 0.05. P<0.01) .Conclusion: The "Shuanggu Yitong " acupuncture therapy can inhibit cardiac hypertrophy induced by Thy and protect cardiact issue from injury, which may be related to effectively controling thyroid function, increasing the act ivity of clearence enzyme of free radical and inhibiting lipid peroxidat ion.
