Qiang-huo, the Chinese crude drug, is the rhizome or root of Notopterygium incisum Ting and Notopterygium forbesii Boiss, distrituted in Qinghai, Sichuan, Yunnan and Gansu province. The coumarin and the volatile oil are the main chemical constituents of the Chinese prude drug Qiang-huo.The paper concerns the new drug's technology, quality standard and pharmacokinetis. In the course of technology study, superitical fluid extraction(SFE) was applied to the extraction of active part — coumarins in Qiang-huo. The extracts were prepared for soft capsule.We established the quality standard of preparation,including property, identification and content determination. The accuracy, repeatability, stability and recovery of quantitative method all accord with the relevant regulations. Setting up Qiang-huo fingerprinting and applying the clustering analysis method to identify Qiang-huo species and evaluate the quality.Moreover, in the course of studing pharmacokinetics of Qiang-huo, We calculated parameter of pharmacokinetics to provide some cludes for Chinese medicine clinic.
