| This paper first provides a brief introduction to the external treatment of traditional Chinese medicines and then makes reference to Professor Zhao Baoming's application of traditional Chinese therapeutic theory of acidity helping convergence and acerbity inhabiting prolapse, in which astringent medicine (i.e., Xiao Zhi Ling (or Hemorrhoid Killer) injection) is applied by means of injection to cure the proctoptosia (internal proctoptosia, and external proctoptosia) and prolapsed internal hemorrhoid and other diseases caused by anal or intestinal disorder, thus giving rise to the external treatment of traditional Chinese medicine specific to such prolapse problem using astringent injection. The overview of references in this paper provides a general introduction to the relevant references in relation to the authoritative medical books in all ages and pathogenic factors and pathogenesis of proctoptosia in the last decade as well as various clinical treatments. The references concerning the contemporary medical knowledge of the recessive proctoptosia ( i.e., intrarectal proctoptosia or internal intussusception) and the clinical research are also summarized for the purpose of this paper. Further, a clinical observation is also carried out on the prolapse inhabiting injection method used against intrarectal mucomembranous proctoptosia and extrarectal mucomembranous proctoptosia. Purpose: To observe the curative effect of prolapse-inhibiting injection therapy of external treatment of traditional Chinese medicines. Method: use 1:1 Hemorrhoid Killer injection for 58 proctoptosia patients ( 43 recessive proctoptosia patients, 6 complete proctoptosia patients and 9 rectal mucosa proctoptosia patients) by means of upper punctiform injection, anoscopically mucous membrane punctiform injection and upper flabelliform injection. Make a comparison of the results before and after treatment, the depth of intrarectal intussusception using evacuation radiography as well as the defecation frequencies, timing, straining feeling of anus and incidence of adverse reaction before and after the treatment. The results show that of the 58 patients, 36 were cured (62%),17 felt better (29.3%) and 5 ended up without any effect. The total effective rate is 91.4%, leaving no complication or sequela. Among the 58 patients, 32 were visited three months after the surgery, with three recurrences found. This came to a conclusion that the proctoptosia inhibiting injection therapy of external treatment of traditional Chinese medicine has remarkable curative effect on proctomptosia. Practices show that such therapeutic method features higher cure rate, fast curative effect and easy operability, thus becoming a desirable therapeutic method. |
