| Objective: The present study was designed to explore the efficiency of the treatment of acupuncture for cerebral palsy and convalesce by family, which is the kind of method of combination of SEVEN STAR needle and filiform needle . The main acupoint chosen is Jiaji points (Extra 15) that is one of the extra-points. The study used the method of statistics that is called repeated measures. It would be to supply the reliability evident for the effect of the kind of method of combination of plum blossom needle and filiform needle for cerebral palsy. The Transcranial Doppler( TCD) is used for observing the variety of cerebral blood flow induced by Contrast before and after treating with acupuncture.Method: thirty consecutive patients admitted to hospital because of cerebral palsy to three groups that is grouped into three groups with randomizing method according to the age, which are 0-3 years old group, 4-7 years old group and the group of upwards of 8 years ago . The data will be recorded that are derived from TCD and Fulg-Meyer Measure before and after per period treatment. The acupuncture treatment would be started after finishing the initial record to the observed number from TCD and Fulg-Meyer Measure. First period of treatment by needling is for thirty days, and then convalesce through family for two months. Finally the second period of treatment would be done. It was given six times per week for four weeks. We chosed Extra 15, Du 16, Dul5 and Three point of temple.Results: The Statistic result of TCD is P<0.05. There was significant difference to TCD values of before and after treating with acupuncture. The results of statistic analysis of repeated measure show the y(curative effect) of variable to the time of variable have highly relativity.Conclusion: The present study indicates acupuncture treatment have effect on cerebral palsy. The results of TCD show that the therapy can improve the supply of blood of cerebra. At the same time, the results of covariance of repeated measures test show that the interval of both of the period of treatments affects curative effect.After finishing one period of t needling treatment, interval of both of two period of treatment is necessary, which will advance the curative effect of needling. Of course, it don't eliminate the factor of spontaneous mend. For this we need to lucubrate the problem. |
