Sugar Bone Capsule Treatment Of Diabetic Osteoporosis In Experimental And Clinical Studies

Objective: Through the research on pharmacy, harmacodynamics , toxicology and clinical observation on Tanggukang Capsule, study its preventive and cure effect on the rarefaction of bone due to diabetes. Method:Experiments on pharmacodynamics: 50 SD mice are divided into normal , model and Tanggukang group. The model is made with STZ, and Tanggukang group are given the powder of Tanggukang Capsule orally. Ca, Mg, P, AKP in the bone, Ca\ P in the urine, bone density and the content of minerals in the bone are tested. Result: BMD of model group is far lower than the normal group, it shows that the model of rarefaction of bone has formed. Compare the high dosage group and the low dosage group with the model group, the statistic diversity on blood sugar, trace element in the urine and BMD are notable. It indicates that Tanggukang Capsule can not only prevent the rarefaction of bone, but also cure it to a certain extent. Clinical Observation: According to the principles of random\blindness and contrast, patients are randomly divided into treating group (144 cases), contrast group (72 cases), clinical observation shows that Tanggukang has remarkable cure effect on the II type diabetes. The active rate is 88.6 % and there's no side effect. Conclusion: this research put forward a new idea and method on the treatment of the rarefaction of bone due to diabetes, and also provide a scientific basis for the treatment of the disease with Tanggukang Capsule and it may has good prospects.
