Background & Objective: The patients with Chronic Tonsillitis often do Tonsillectomy (Dissection Method and Guillotine Method) at past time. The objective of this research (1) The Method of Cauterization was performed on patients with Chronic Tonsillitis that investigate the influence of immune function pre and post operatively , and explore its mechanism. (2) The Method of Cauterization was performed on patients with Chronic Tonsillitis that investigate the patients' serum some acute phase reactant proteins (APRPs) including 1-AGP, a 1-AT, Tf were measured pre and post operatively , and explore its mechanism. (3) The Method of Cauterization was observed with light and electron microscope before and after pre and post operatively, and explore its superiority and feasibility. Methods: Divided 60 patients with Chronic Tonsillitis into two groups at random (30 cases/group), do Cauterization or antibiotic (Erythromycin). The patients' serum IgG, IgA, IgM, C3 level and some acute phase reactant proteins(APRPs) including 1-AGP, a 1-AT, Tf were measured pre and post operatively, in addition, The Method of Cauterization was observed light and electron microscope before and after Cauterization. Following up the patients for six to twelve months. Results: The Method of Cauterization was performed on patients with Chronic Tonsillitis can raised remarkablely serum IgG, IgA, IgM level more than those of Erythromycin. It can raised patients' immune capability (P< 0.01). The Method of Cauterization was. performed on patients with Chronic Tonsillitis that it can eliminate their symptoms of Chronic Tonsillitis. It was better than Erythromycin group (P < 0.01). We observed fiber organize proliferate , Lymph cells division was increased > Gland cavity enlarged at light microscope and exist normal structure at electron microscope. So, the Method of Cauterization was performed on patients with Chronic Tonsillitis that their immune function remained and that their symptoms of Chronic Tonsillitis had been controlled.Conclusion: The Method of Cauterization was performed on patients with Chronic Tonsillitis that their immune function remained and that their symptoms of Chronic Tonsillitis had been controlled.
