Diabetes is a disease related with metabolism and incretion disorder and a disease related with physical and mental disorder. It is widely known that the main causes leading to Type2 diabetes are genetic factors combined with environmental factors. Previous research has found that negative emotions may also lead to diabetes and also can worsen the conditions of diabetes patients. And the worsened conditions can also cause negative emotions. So these two facets can be cause and effect which form malign cycle. Negative emotions not only reduce the extent of patients' compliance but also lead to the increasing of blood sugar which can damage the controlling on sugar metabolism and thus severely affect the patients' living quality. The most commonly seen negative emotions for diabetes patients are depression and anxiety. In Chinese Medicine' s view, liver governs the normal mental activity. It is the maladjustment toward mental activity that causes liver-qi stagnation. There are mainly three theories of Chinese Medicine on diabetes treatment which are treatment from liver, treatment from spleen and treatment from stasis. While it is liver stagnation that overcome spleen and lead to qi-stagnation and blood stasis. Thus toward diabetes patients who have obvious negative emotions accompanied with live-qi stagnation, it will be the primary way of using regulating the liver-qi based on replenishing qi and nourishing yin to treat diabetes. In order to detect the influence of internal heat harming yin toward the live-qi stagnation, this clinical study mainly focus on live-qi stagnation syndrome. The thesis including two parts covering literature review and clinical study. There are three reviews in the first part. They are reviewed on the influence of negative emotions on diabetes, liver-qi stagnation syndrome and Chinese Medicine treatment on diabetes which constitute the basis for liver-qi stagnation syndrome of diabetes. The clinical study include two parts: the first one is analysis on syndrome of liver-qi stagnation for diabetes. Through statistical analysis on the data got from 62 patients, the results show there are 70.97% patients having depression emotions of different extent and the light extent took up the most part which is 40.32%. It is also found that the more severe the depression is, the more severe of the extent of sugar metabolism abnormality and the more severe of the symptoms. There are more female than male in the incidence rate of this syndrome in diabetesD and the most concentrated age range is 50-59. The accompanied diseases mainly focus on the organs which the liver-channel pass by including liver, gall bladder, throat, eye, breast, genitalia and digestive pathway. The most common accompanied syndrome for diabetes is concentrated in eyes which are also the organs that liver-channel pass by. The syndrome of qi-stagnation is highly related with yin-deficiency, blood-deficiency, qi-deficiency, blood-stasis and damp-heat.Through Logistic regression analysis, it is approved that my tutor's clinical experience opinion that "the foam on the bilateral of tongue can be viewed as an index for live-qi stagnation". The second part is observation on clinical therapeutic effect. The 30 observed patients were treated with regaulating the liver-qi method based on replenishing qi and nourishing yin. The treatment period was one month and the patients didn't change their former blood sugar decreasing method. After the treatment, there are significant improvement on depression emotion, symptom and sugar metabolism in these patients which approve the effectiveness of the treatment.Through the study above, we may find that diabetes syndrome of live-qi stagnation is different with the common syndrome of live-qi stagnation which shows that the live-qi stagnation syndrome is affected by the basic pathogenesis of diabetes that is internal heat damaging yin and strong fire damaging qi. Syndrome is not only essential reflection for the certain phase of a disease but also a main change in this phase of the disease, but it...
