Xiaoxiantong Pain Particles Treatment Of Fibromyalgia Syndrome Experimental And Clinical Studies

Objective: To stuoy the effect and mechanism of the Xiaoxiantong granule used to treat Fibromyalgia Syndrome(FS) from the clinical research and the experimental study based on the theory of traditional Chinese medicine and the latest progresses of western medicine.Means: 1. Experimental Study: Observed the influence on the content of 5-HT and the actions of .Anti-Inflammatory, analgetic, sedative and hypnogenesis of Xiaoxiantong granule.2. Clinical research: Collected 16 patients of FS and randomly divided into the Xiaoxiantong granule group (the treat group) and the amitriptyline group (the controlled group). Compared the difference between the two groups on improving patient's main symptomsResults: 1. Experimental Study: The Xiaoxiantong granule can increase the content of 5-HT in the animal brains and has a great effect on Anti-Inflammatory, analgetic, sedative and hypnogenesis. Moreover, the free radicals can be eliminated.2. Clinical research: The availability percent of the treat group is similar to the controlled group. But the tender points are decreased more in the treat group than the controlled group. Conclusion: The Xiaoxiantong granule is safe and effective for treating FS.
