Acupuncture "burn Hill Fire" Method For Treatment Of Lumbar Disc Herniation

The lumbar intervertebral disc prolapse(LIDP) is most common and its incidence of disease is about 4%-7%.The article reviewed systematically the research results of both antiquity and modern times on pathology, pathogeny, diagonsis and treatment of LIDP. A systematical induction and analysis on it was gained, specially with a research on the treatment, such as acupuncture, Chinese massage and traction.In this study, we chose and treated 40 LIDP patients from Acupuncture and Moxibustion Dept. of Jiangsu Province Hospital of Chinese Traditional Medicine, and then they were randomly separated into two groups: One is called treatment group, the other is called comparison group. There were 20 patients in each group. In treatment group,20 patients were treated by acupuncture, named "Shao shan huo", and the group were treated by pure acupuncture.The results were observed in clinic. The results of observation had shown that the treatment group was better than the comparison group in general effective rate. Statistical analysis had showed that they had obvious statistical discrepancy , and the treatment group had advantages to the comparison group on the treatment of lumbago, solicitant pain.All of these make us clear the acupuncture, Shao shan huo, on LIDP. is a feasible comprehensive treatment method.
