| Objective: This trial was designed to explore theefficacy and necessity of acupuncture and moving cupping as well as antidepressant treatment for fibromyalgia syndrome(FS) by random and contrast study.The goal of this study was to provide a reliable evidence to support acupuncture and moving cupping as well as antidepressant treatment for fibromyalgia syndrome,in this way we expect can provide a more efficient.more security method for FS's treatment.Methods: Sixty-six patients who meet the studycriteria were been selected.They were divided into two groups on the basis of principles of randomized controlled trial.The first group is trial group,which treated with acupuncture mainly on five emotions points accompanied with moving cupping on back and in combination with oral Amitriptyline;The second group is contrast group which treated with oral Amitriptyline only.The concrete treatment methods were like this:The 33 cases in the trial group were given acupuncture mainly on five emotions points,added some Ashi points as indicated every day.After withdrawal needles,moving cupping on back were applicable until the skin congested every other day.And at the same time treated with oral Amitriptyline;While the contrast group treatedwith oral Amitriptyline only.AH cases in two groups were treated for 2 weeks.Before and after treatment we assess the therapeutic effects with international high-reliability MPQ and HAMD measuring scale.Results: There was significant difference between twogroups with symptoms and changes in MPQ and HAMD measuring scale.Conclusion: The present study indicates that bothtreatment methods have a certain therapeutic effect for FS.The method of acupuncture mainly on five emotions points combined with moving cupping on back ,as well as oral antidepressant drug- Amitriptyline can better patients' symptoms significantly,and it's therapeutic effect is obviously superior to oral Amitriptyline only. |
