Objective: To observe the changes of endotheHum-dependent relaxation function in the patients with syndrome-Type in TCM of coronary heart disease. Methods:With high-resolution ultrasound, endothelium-dependent relaxation function was measured in 98 patients and 30 healthy peoples. Results: Endothelium-dependent relaxation function in the patients with syndrome-Type in TCM of coronary heart disease was much reduced compared with healthy peoples(P<0.001). Heart-blood stagnation syndrome was much reduced compared with stagnation of phlegm syndrome and deficiency of both Qi and Yin (P<0.001).There is no significantly different between stagnation of phlegm syndrome and deficiency of both Qi and Yin(P>0.05).Conclusions:In the patients with syndrome-Type in TCM of coronary heart disease ,there exists endothelium-dependent vasodilatation dysfunction. Endothelium-dependent relaxation function was related to the syndrem-Type in TCM. It is suggested that endothelium-dependent vasodilatation dysfunction may be the one of material basis of syndrome-Type in TCM of coronary heart disease.
