Objectives: To observe the clinical effect of Primary Osteoporisis (POP) treated by Guisibugu Tablet (GSBG), and to study its functional mechanisms.Methods: To choose 77 cases of POP as the subject, divided them into two groups at random, the 43 cases in treatment group (GSBG) and 34 cases in the control group (MGX). We compared the effect of the two drugs by three observation indexes, i.e, the clinical symptoms, bone density index and bone metabolic indexes before and after the treatment.Results:1. The clinical condition: the effect clinical rate of GSBG amounted to 90.7% and MGX was 91.8%. There was no obvious difference in the two groups. Gastroenteropathic reaction, liver and kidney function destroy have not been found in GSBG, superior to MGX.2. The change of Bone density: the bone density of the four sites both increased in two groups after the treatment, there was apparent difference compared to what was before the treatment (P<0.05), there was no difference between the two groups (P>0.05).3. Bone metabolic indexes: there was no obvious change on S-P, S-Ca (P>0.05) after the treatment hi two groups, but U-Ca/Cr, U-Hop/Cr increased significantly (PO.05), AKP in GSBG was greatly different compared to the MGX group.Conclusion: To treat POP with GSBG tablet appeared the definitely clinical effect. And it owned some advantages such as taking conveniently, having the double function of inhibiting bone absorption and improving bone formation, without any toxic and side-effect and improving bone quality completely.
