PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication Systems) can realize efficiencent management and share of radiographic image. It has been widely used in clinic now. The building of PACS system between hospitals can exert expert's ability to serve other hospitals. Development of information transmission technology lays important foundation of PACS technology. High speed and cheap wide band web make it possible to transmit a mass of medical image in long distance. Based on the clinical demand, a min-PACS has been developed in this dissertation and then put it into practice in remoting diagnosis.Significance of building PACS system between hospitals and telemedicine service are introduced at first and then some foundational knowledge of several conventional radiation equipments (include CR , CT, MR etc) and basical conception of DICOM are dealt with.The dissertation puts emphasis on the detailed presentation on the realization of a mini-PACS. Functional modules and realizing method are given in this paper.By using storage space with an given IP address and lossless image compression method, a teleimage reading system is realized sucessfully, especially the linkage of different imaing equipment with our system and the technique of downloading and uploading.It is pointed out that the developed system has been used in some clilical hospitals and works steadily and satisfactorily.
