The Flavored Shegan Ephedra Soup Experimental Studies Of Nitric Oxide And Ige Levels In Asthmatic Rats

Object: According to the theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the 4-6 w SD rats were chosed and the rat asthmatic models were set up by the methods of setting up bronchial asthma in west medicine. Parameters of observation included general clinical pictures, the serum content of NO and IgE, the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) content of NO . The effects of the medicine of 'shegan mahuang decoction' on NO and IgE in the serum of model animals were observed. The effect of 'shegan mahuang decoction'on NO in BALF of model animals were observed. The effect of prednisone on NO and IgE were observed also. The lab animals were divided into four groups:the control group, positive control group, Chinese medicine group, prednisone group. The purpose of this study was to investigate the accurated clinical effect and pharmacodynamics mechanism of 'Shegan mahuang decoction 'in the treatment of asthma , in this way, the prevention and treatment of asthma was based on the findings of the study.Result'.Compared with the normal group, in animals of asthma group , the content of NO and IgE increased (p<0. 01). The medicine of 'shegan mahuang decoction' can notably reduce the content of IgE, NO and improve the symptoms(p<0.05 or p<0.01). The work of 'shegan mahuang decoction' reducing the content of IgE and NO neared to that of prednisone.Conclusion:The changes of content of NO and IgE of model asthma was obvious . The medicine of 'shegan mahuang decoction 'can bring on a satisfactory result in treating asthma through reducing the content of IgE and NO. The medicine of 'shegan mahuang decoction' was good for asthma.
