Operative mecha- nism of Nose Drops of Qi Xin Double Fang on Allergic Rhinitis was expored by means of Clinical and Experimental research in order to find new way and effective drug. The author thought that the direct Pathogency was both wind ?cold , which was the factor of the first importantce , and Pestilence or Exogenou factors playing more and more important role in the occurring of Allergic Rhinitis . Muddy Damp blocked the nose was the chief pathology ,Yang Dificiency of the lung was the oot?of this desease . So the method of treatment is to warm up Yang of the lung ,and to expel both windæ¢'oid and Pestilence or Exogenou factors in addition So 30 cases were treated by Nose Drops of Qi Xin Double Fang ,which was based on the warming up Yang of the lung , Expeling both windold and Pestilence or Exogenou factors ,Eliminating Muddy Damp and opening the upper orifice . And 30 cases , served as control group were treated by Bo Ke Rhinitis water . The results showed that the total obvious effective rate and total effective rate of the treat group is 70% , 96. 67% respectively which is remarkably better than that of control group (p< 0. 01). there is statistically remarkable difference beteen two groups. Experimental study indicated that high. Medium and iow dosage of Nose Drops of Qi Xin Double Fang all had distinctive effect of antillergic tiny haernal penetrability, More intensive effect were achieved with high dosage , Medium dosage of Nose Drops of Qi Xin Double Fang had the same effect as medium dosage of Bo Ke Rhinitis water ; It had distinctive effect a- gainst passive cutaneous allergic reaction by little mouse , More intensive ef ?? feet were achieved with high dosage , Medium dosage of Nose Drops of Qi Xin Double Fang had the same effect as medium dosage of Bo Ke Rhinitis water . Moreover the auther through experimental study primally revealed that Nose Drops of Qi Xin Double Fang had obvious effects of anti ?his- tamine, anti ?allergy , anti ?inflammation and anti ?bacteria, regulating function of immunity, local anaesthesia and showing restraint , improving the microirculation . the interaction of these functions lead to the effec- tive result.
