The Jiawei Shengjiangsan Combat Experimental Study Of Bronchial Asthma

The Jia Wei Sheng Jiang San is made on the basis of Sheng Jiang San ol Shang Han Wen Yi Tiao Bian written by Dr.Yang Li-Shan, in Qing Dynasty. This study focuses on the effect of this formula to bronchial asthma ir pharmacodynamics. The results showed that: 1. Jia Wei Sheng Jiang San has the effect to prevent the pathogeneses on the Guinea pig asthma models induced by histamine phosphate. 2. The formula has the effect as the dexamethasone, could reduce the inflamed cell exudation in the lung tissue of the mice asthma models; decrease the inflammatory cells permeated level in the bronchiole and pen- bronchiole; decrease the level of airways limited by the Type I allergic reaction. 3. On the mice asthma models, the formula also has the effect as the dexamethasone, could reduce the expression of the nuclear transcription factor- kB( NFkB) in bronchiole walls ,and the nuclear transcript rate in the bronchiole epithelial cells and the alveolar inflamed cells. These results indicate that Jia Wei Sheng Jiang San is effective on preventing and in treating bronchial asthma.
