Abstract/Summary:
The Study of PON1 Gene Polymorphism in NIDDM Patients With Cerebral Infarction in Chinese Zhangzheng Zhangchen ABSTRACT Objective To analyze the relationship between the PON1 gene 191 polymorphism and NIDDM with or without cerebral infarction. Method With polymerase chain reaction(PCR) technique,we detected PQN1 191 genotypes in 72 healthy controls and 87 patients,42 patients of NIDDM without cerebral infraction, and 45 patients of NIDDM with cerebral infarction. Results There is no relationship between PON1 191 gene poly-morphism and the NJDDM without cerebral infarction. The frequency of B genotype among the patients of NIDDM with cerebral infarction were higher than those of NIDDM without cerebral infarction(78 to 65%,PO.05). Conclution PQN1 gene 191 polymorphism B genotype is significantly higher in the NIDDM patients with cerebral infarction than the NIDDM patients without cerebral infarction and healthy controls,B genotype may be one of the risk factors of cerebral infarction in NIDDM patients.
