The coronary heart disease and angina pectoris is a common and frequently- occurring disease in cardiovascular system, which threatens people's life and quality of life and its morbidity is increasing these years. There is no disease named'coronary heart disease'or'angina pectoris'in traditional Chinese medicine but doctors of TCM have been studying it for generations with a lot of achievements obtained on its cause, pathogenesis and protection. As of now, the general comment is to sort it out to'chest bi-syndrome'and'cardiodynia'under TCM. Based on the study of classic theories of traditional Chinese medicine and lots of previous TCM works with considering his own clinical practices, my honorable tutor who has a deep and broad knowledge of ancient and modern TCM, Professor Zhang, Mingxue, considers that deficiency of both qi and yin is the key pathogenesis which caused some pathology outcome such as turbid phlegm and congestion generated and entangled together. Therefore, the coronary heart disease and angina pectoris is a disease whose root cause is deficiency of both qi and yin and symptom is entangled phlegm and congestion. With the purpose of curing the disease from the root cause as well as the symptoms, my tutor established a curing principle that to supplement qi and nourish yin as the main method coupled with phlegm-eliminating and blood-stasis-removing, and he also developed a medicine called qi-supplementing and yin-nourishing and blood-dredging soup which is effective in treatment. This prescription is organized methodically and systematically which combines blood- dredging and qi and yin supplementing, both are to be just perfect, that makes qi supplemented and blood dredged properly in order to let the phlegm eliminated and blood-stasis removed to reach the aim of curing. This thesis mainly focused on thoughts of the coronary heart disease and angina pectoris by generations of doctors of TCM and consolidated the clinical practices of implementing qi-supplementing and yin-nourishing to cure chest bi-syndrome that my tutor developed with purpose of promoting and expanding my tutor's academic ideology of curing the disease from the root cause as well as the symptoms. |
