ObjectiveThe retrospective study has surveyed 78 cases of nephrotic syndrome collecting from Professor Lv's outpatients. We devote ourself to summarize academic ideology of Professor Lv in the treatment of nephrotic syndrome as scientific and effective methods.MethodThe 78 cases are all chosen from return visit of Dong Zhi Men Hospital outpatients for three years since March 2008.Collection points should include population material such as name, sex, age, history, etc. It also covers symptoms, physical signs, tongue and pulse manifestation, clinical course, especially professor Lv concerns. Laboratory parameters are not ignored consisting of URT, 24hpro, kidney and liver functions, lipid index, blood clots, etc. According to western medicine patients are divided into two treatment groups. The group combined with western medicine and herbs has three sections (early stage, reducing medicine dosage stage, drug maintenance and withdrawal stage). Meanwhile different treatment appears depending on pathological type.SummaryProfessor Lv considers that nephrotic syndrome refers to "ShenShui". The "edema" taking place in renal, is related to visceral function disorder, "XieQI" or pathologic product. Deficiency of Ben and repletion of Biao is inseparable even at the same stage of an identical patient. On pure Chinese medicine treatment it comprises boosting Ben (JianPiYiQi in FeiPiQiXu, WenShenJiPi in PiShenKuiXu, ZiBuGanShen in GanShenKuiXu, TiaoBuQiXue and Yin Yang in YinYangJuXu) and getting rid of Biao(ShuFengSanXie in WaiGan, HuaShiLiShui in ShuiShi, QingHuaShiRe in ShiRe,QingReJieDu in ReDu, HuoXueHuaYu in YuXue,LiQiJieYu in QiYu).On western medicine and herb treatment we adopts YiQiYangYin inYinShang, QingHuaShiDu in ShiReDuZhuo, TongHuoXueMai in XueYu, JianPiBuShen in PiShenKuiXu. Besides there is ShiReYu in MGN patients and QiZhiXuYu in FSGS paitents. Last but not the least, dietary and movement should be attentioned.
