Qilong Particle Treatment Of Refractory Thrombocytopenic Purpura Tcm Syndromes Observed

1 ObjectiveRefractory idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura(RITP) is applied to cases that do not respond to many therapys,especially standard doses of steroid and splenectomy.The treatment of refractory ITP is difficult.There is presently no normal algorithm for management of patients with chronic refractory ITP.Multiple treatments play a more important role in RITP,but response rates are low, or frequency of administration weight,or serious side effects against their use.Through clinic observing for several years, we concluded that blood stasis and qi deficiency is the essential mechanism of RITP.Blood-stasis is a familiar syndrome of RITP.We developed an effective prescription Qilong granules for RITP,according to related literature,clinical practice and previous application of basic research results.We hope to observed the change of the clinic TCM symptom of Qilong granules for RITP through the randomized,double-blind, placebo-controlled study.2 MethodsQilong group was given Qilong granules and conventional treatment of RITP. Control group, while using conventional treatment, was also given placebo packing with the same Qilong.4 weeks was a course of treatment and the study lasted 3 months.3 ResultsAccording to the TCM criteria of RITP,0 cases were recovery,11 cases were good,13 cases were effective,10 cases were ineffective in Qilong group,The total effective rate was 77.42%.1 cases were recovery,11 cases were good,10 cases were effective,12 cases were ineffective in Control group.The total effective rate was 64.71%.The total effective rate of comparison isn't significant (P>0.05).There were 39 cases that were only using the Qilong granule in the observation period in the 65 patients.14 cases were effective and 6 cases were ineffective in Qilong group.The effective rate was 70.00%,6 cases were effective,13 cases were ineffective in Control group,the effective rate was 31.60%,Qilong group were significantly better than the control group(P<0.05).The patients'clinical symptoms of two groups were improved significantly than those before treatment.However,there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05), Shortness of breath and lazy words,fatigue,spontaneous perspiration,blood stasis,tongue in Qilong group after 3 months of treatment were better than before treatment,which was statistically significant, P<0.05.Grading of bleeding symptom in Qilong group after 3 months of treatment was better than before treatment,which was statistical significance,P<0.05.Tongue image of two groups,after 2 months treatment,compared with 0 months were difference,there was a significant P<0.05,showing QiLong group had a distinct advantage.4 conclusionsThe efficacy of Chinese medicine and the change of TCM symptom score are not obvious in RITP,which took the Qilong granule.However Qilong granule can improve the clinical symptoms and signs of TCM.
