Shanxi Province, A Large Hospital Ward Environment, Subjective Evaluation

Significance:The main method of this topic is after-use evaluation research. take the environmentevaluation into the studies of hospital environmental researches, select the more importantbuilding in hospital as the research object, discusses the relationship between the hospital wardenvironment and subjective satisfaction to the ward, explore the forecast indexes of the wardenvironmental satisfaction, then make a quantitive evaluation to the satisfaction of wardenvironment. This can not only provide a feasible method for evaluating the environment ofhospital ward, but also can improve the decision-making level and scientific management level,so this research has certain theoretical and practical significance.Purpose:1. To understand the concept of environmental evaluation, technical feature, function, thestudy objectives and the interests and needs of evaluations.2. Take the first affiliated hospital of Shanxi medical university and Shanxi people'shospital's wards as examples, through the statistical analysis, to obtain a quantitative results ofthe environment satisfaction.3. Using analytic hierarchy process to compare the two hospital ward, find the problems andthe effect factors of the hospital ward environment, and provide some advices to the hospitalconstruction, modification and extension.Objective:To make a random questionnaire to The ward users (patients, doctors, nurses, family andvisitor) of The first affiliated hospital of Shanxi medical university, the second affiliated hospitalof Shanxi medical university, Shanxi tumor hospital, the people's hospital of Shanxi Province,Shanxi cardiovascular hospital, the center hospital of Taiyuan.Study subject: patients, doctors, nurses, family members (including the visitor).Research object: hospital ward environment (including physical environment and humaneenvironment), mainly is the material environment.Methods:1. Literature research: Search from many disciplines such as: hospital management, medicalpsychology, hospital build and etc, to find the relevant knowledge of this filed, and provide theevidence for constructing the evaluating system. Analysis the main elements and influencingfactors of the hospital ward environment, then preliminary screening the evaluation index. Usingexisting hospital environment evaluation and hospital theoretical foundation on architecturalenvironment to evaluate, and explain it by using the knowledge of hospital management, medicalpsychology and architecture, at last, determining the evaluation ways.2. Questionnaire survey method: To investigate the patients, staff, ward visitor, families andinterviewers of the hospital, analysis their satisfaction to the ward environment, and constructsthe important constituents of the ward environment, then establish the user satisfactionevaluation model.3. Analytic hierarchy process (AHP): Build hospital ward evaluation index system. Toinvestigate the satisfaction of existing hospital ward by questionnaire then calculate the weight ofeach index, lay the foundation for further evaluation work.4. Case analysis: Take the large-scale hospital in Shanxi Province as a case to study the ward environment by questionnaire, using statistical analysis and qualitative analysis to estimatethe after-use evaluation and puts some suggestions in the end.Contentsontents:1. Analysis the elements and the influence factors of hospital ward environment, thenpreliminary screening the evaluation index. Using existing environmental theory to evaluate the,built environment, to explain the indexes from architecture and environmental psychology, in theend, determine the way of evaluation.2. Use the index system to build the hierarchical structure satisfaction evaluation model ,inthe process, the weights were set by using questionnaire scorning, then confirm the result instatistical ways to make the results more reliable.3. Investigate the satisfaction to the ward environment of the first affiliated hospital ofShanxi Medical University and Shanxi people's hospital; get quantitative results through thestatistical analysis. Using analytic hierarchy process to evaluate the two hospitals, find theshortage and influencing factors of hospital designs, at last, provide some reference to theconstruction of large hospitals.Results:In the built environment evaluation research, the scores of the first affiliated hospital ofShanxi medical universkty and Shanxi people's hospital were respectively as below: the 1staffiliated hospital scord for: efficiency, 77.01;healthy, 74.72; comfort,70.53; safety,80.14.Shanxi people's hospital score fop: effi#iency, 74.97; healthy, 72.72; comfort, 70.02;safety, 84.94. In preinstall envir/nmental assessment study, weighted score were respectively(scheme1, 89.6; scheme 2, 79.7; scheme 3, 75.6).The 1st iffiliated hospital of Shanxi Medical University's hospital environment is superior tothe Shanxi people's hospital. The main reason is the 1st affiliated hospital of Shanxi medicaluniversity were build in recent years, it provided a more comfortable and effective environmentto the patients both from design to construction. In the designs of environmental evaluationscheme of Shanxi great hospitals, plan a preset the best quality of hospital environment, and thebest method is plan A too, so it's in accordance with the evaluation results.Conclusions:This paper combined the theory with practice, explore the ways of evaluate hospital's wardenvironmental, and come up with the concept of health ward environment at the same time. Thisidea was the core value of general ward environment, which mean it should be good to thetreatment &recovery of the patients, that is not only include patients' physical health, but theemotional and mental health, it contains 4 dimensions: efficiency, healthy, comfortable andsafety.Try to introduce environmental evaluation into hospital's ward environment researches,take Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) as a tool to study the quality of hospital environment.By means of theoretical and empirical research, the paper has conducted the method ofevaluating hospital's ward environment, then propose the evaluation model"efficiency-healthy-comfortable-safety"on the base of concept"healthy ward environment", it isa good solution to the problem of environment assessment...
