Chengdu City Sustainable Land Use Evaluation Of Empirical Research

Land is the carrier of all the natural elements like resources and enviroment, and the material base of human being's survival and multiplication. Being the material base and precondition of social economical development, the sustainble use of land has a direct relation with a nation's strategy of sustainable development. The evaluation of the land's sustainble use is the measure whether the land is legitimately used, the status and level of evaluating and monitoring the sustainble use of land, the base on which the sustainble use of land's compound decision and coordinated management are established, and the basis of deploying the sustainable development management.This thesis, choosing Chengdu as the research object, develops an evaluation of the sustainable use of urban land in Chengdu. The purpose is to objectively and accurately understand the current status of the sustainable use of Chengdu's urban land, then, with the feasible countermeasure proposed after evaluation, provide scientific basis to the government's policies, and improve the level of sustainble use of land. This thesis, on the base of analysing Chengdu's features of natural and social economical status and the current use of urban land, from the basical theory of sustainable use of land, according to the aim and principle of compound evaluation, establishes the index system of compound evaluation of urban land's sustainable use in four aspects as eviromental quality, resource rationality, economical feasibility and social acceptability. According to the power function, This thesis standardize the index, confirm the index weight via analytic hierarchy process, and obtain the level of Chengdu's sustainable use of urban land from 2003 to 2008 with the compond target linearity weighting function. The reults manifests that, having experienced the preliminary sustainbale and basic sustainbale one, Chengdu's use of urban land is close to the process of sustainable use. About the problems of land use reflected by the compound evaluation, this thesis, employing the model of obstacle degree, finds the key obstacles handicapping the sustainable use of Chengdu's urban land and proposes some suggestions and countermeasures.
