Hyundai Heavy Industries Based On Dynamic Competitive Strategy Discussion

For 38 years, Hyundai Heaavy Industry Co. Ltd. (Hyundai) has always kept the leading position in the ship-building industry since its establishment. However, the ship-building industry shrank a lot after the financial crisis in 2008 and the ship orders of Hyundai decreased. In addition, the rise and the rapid development of the Chinese shipbuilding industry are changing the structure of the industry. So, it is necessary to study the Hyundai's strategy under dynamic competition in order to keep the leading position in such a competitive environment.This paper will describe the future strategy of Hyundai in 6 chapters, beginning from the history of ship-building industry development, current situation and trends in the future to the comparison between Chinese and Korean ship-building industry, the strength and weakness in each country, countining to study the future strategy of Hyundai in chapter 4 and ending with some suggestions to Chinese ship-building industry.
