Advanced Manufacturing Technology(AMT) is one of the most effective paths on cultivating its own core competitiveness, maintaining the sustainable development in modern manufacturing enterprises. But SMEs are facing considerable difficulties to implementing AMT compared to large-scale enterprises using AMT for technological improvement, fostering competitive advantage, though there are very important in national economy. Most of the current literature focus on the research of the large-scale enterprises to use the AMT, or emphasize on the classification of the concept of AMT, the implemental environment and performance evaluation of AMT, avoiding the enterprises'scale. However, whether the SMEs can use the AMT, and how many key factors affect the successful implementation of AMT, there are only obscure answers to these questions, even most of them are lack of empirical support.Based on the former literature review, and the specific analysis of the premise model, the paper chooses the small and medium manufacturing enterprises as research object. Research for SMEs industry characteristics, its size, the use of technology and the technological environment conducts a comprehensive analysis of the implementation of AMT, and tries to find the difference and uniqueness of the factors. We find the key factors based on the actual investigation, and according to these factors, we put forward our solution model finally.This paper mainly carries on the research as the following aspects: Firstly, we review the research situation of AMT as the theoretical support of the paper at home and abroad; Secondly, we pay more attention to the SMEs background and comment on it in detail, then we design questionnaire to test our objects combined with previous theoretical analysis. According to the feedback of the survey, the final design of the questionnaire is formed at a reasonable level. Thirdly we find out special factors using the statistical analysis. In the last chapter, We establish the solving model of using AMT in SMEs, in accordance with the results of the survey. The chapter V in accordance with the results of previous data, raises the possible countermeasures from government policy, small and medium enterprises and their financial environment. The study will have greater practical significance and reference value for the use of AMT in SMEs.
