The Relationship Between Advanced Manufacturing Technology And Manufacturirng Strategy In Small And Medium-sized Manufacturing Enterprise

With the continuous development of manufacturing strategy theory,the impacts of advanced manufacturing technology on manufacturing strategy is growing concern.A number of scholars have studied with all kinds of dim ensions and methods,but the number of related literature is still less.There is no conclusion about the influence of advanced manufacturing technology on the each dimension of competitive priorities and it is unable to accomm odate the complicated and changeable environment.With the proposal of "m ade in China 2025",the administration introduced a large number of protecti on policy to assist industry informatization,encouraging enterprises to adopt advanced manufacturing technology actively.To provide a rare opportunity f or the growth of manufacturing enterprises.In consideration of this backgrou nd,this paper comes up with paradigm of technology—policy?strategy.The influence of advanced manufacturing technology on the choice of competitiv e priority is studied,as well as the regulating role of national policy support.We develop the research of manufacturing strategy well.Based on the institutional strategic theory and resource-based theory,thi s article constructs the relational model between advanced manufacturing tech nology and manufacturing strategy under the conditions of policy support.W e make a multiple regression analysis on the base of the physical truth of 123 manufacturing enterprises.Now,this paper comes to the following conclu sions.First,there exists significant positive relation between AMT and manufa cturing strategy.The application of all kinds of manufacturing technology ca n improve competitive priority effectively,access and expand competitive ad vantage.But the positive correlation between advanced manufacturing technol ogy and enterprise cost is not tested.The reasons for this situation is enterp rise can not concentrate resources on all competitive priorities,cost is not th e main strategy goal,the higher priority is assigned to the quality,tlexible a nd delivery,etc.Therefore,we should encourage enterprises to introduce adv anced manufacturing technology actively.Meanwhile,we should improve ma nagement thought and treat industry informatization as a concrete implementa tion process.Second,policy support plays a positive regulation in the relationship bet ween advanced manufacturing technology and manufacturing strategy.With t he increase of government's methods,the connection between manufacturing technology and management technology and manufacturing strategy enhances.However,in the relation between design technology and manufacturing strat egy,policy support does not play a positive regulatory role.The reasons are as follows,companies neglect the design process,the low utilization efficie ncy of state-funded financial aid,the high expense of technology application,and government does not create appropriate external environment for the de velopment of technologies.Therefore,do something from these sides,improv e the productivity of the policy support as far as possible,and maximize the influence between the application of AMT and manufacturing strategy in th e enterprise.
