Agglomeration Role In Promoting The Urbanization Analysis

From the view of the world economic history, we find that industrial agglomeration and urbanization are associated between the quest, a mutually supportive relationship. Industrial agglomeration is an important power of urbanization. It is an accelerator of urbanization. Industrial agglomeration enhances the economic base of urbanization. It is good for city competitiveness to push the process of urbanization. In this paper, firstly we interpret the role of the industrial agglomeration in urbanization by analysis of the mechanism. In the mechanism analysis part, we conclude the relationship of industrial agglomeration and urbanization through describe relationships among industrial, industrialization an urbanization. Industrial agglomeration is the initial power of industrialization and industrialization is the core power of urbanization, then we can see some role of industrial agglomeration in urbanization. Also in the same part, for a clear view of the relationship between industrial agglomeration and urbanization, we directly demonstrate the role of industrial in urbanization through analyzing the agglomeration economy characteristic of city. After the analysis of the mechanism, we make empirical analysis for the relationship between industrial agglomeration and urbanization. In empirical analysis part, we get some conclusions through constructing panel data model. Then the relationship based on historical experience between industrial agglomeration and urbanization is given to confirm econometric conclusions. And in the end of the empirical analysis part, we provide some cases to display and certificate our econometric conclusions. From the whole analysis of the paper, we indeed see the truth that industrial agglomeration who creates economic and living elements for urbanization importantly pushes the process of urbanization.
