The informal term of 80s Generation, just like what we can take in the letters,stands for people born in 1980s, who are given such a special title due to some exclusive characteristics distinguishing them from others.Originated from traditional culture, their values are also influenced by education, western values and contemporary concepts The features belonging to the 80s G result in a specific part of human resource management. Human resource selection among the 80s-G staff is becoming a hot topic.The dissertation develops research and discussion on selectios among 80s-G staff with particular values. First of all,the development of values systems in China and abroad is presented. After analyzing 80s-G's values and related influencing factors, the following part, by adopting the method of questionnaire, focuses on analysis and discussion of 80s-G distinctive vocational behaviors and the corresponding reasons to make 80s-G staffs advantages and disadvantages clear. Then, based on the current selection ways employed by Hunan Netcom (HNC), the feasibility and significance of establishing a human resource selection system for 80s-G staff on a competency model is discussed.Through applying the HNC-owned selection policy, which is especially designed for this particular group, to research and discussion in this dissertaion, a human resouce seletion framework suitable for most of corporations and organizations is developed, which successfully achieves a combination of theory and practice.
