Free Trade Area Of ​​rules Of Origin And Its Role In Research

Rules of Origin are one of the most important issues in the free trade agreements, which play a pivotal role in achieving the objectives of FTAs (Free Trade Areas). Therefore, it is meaningful to do some research into the FTAs'Rules of Origin. With the rapid development of the FTAs throughout the world, people are paying increasing attention to FTAs'Rules of Origin. However, there's little research into the effect of FTAs'Rules of Origin on trade and investment. Based on this situation, this thesis focuses on the effect of FTAs'Rules of Origin.After comparing major FTAs in the world, we find that different Rules of Origin have different influences on the trade and investment of FTAs and that similar Rules of Origin also exert different effects on different members of FTAs. This thesis is meant to do some in-depth exploration of it. It explores the mechanism of the effect of FTAs'Rules of Origin on members'trade and investment; it's intended to find out what kind of Rules of Origin is effective and what kind of Rules of Origin can improve the efficiency of regional trade and investment; it's meant to put forward suggestions and revelations for China to participate in the drawing of FTAs'Rules of Origin. It's where the academic and practical values of the research lie.Based on the theoretical analyses of FTAs'Rules of Origin, this paper summarizes the features of FTAs'Rules of Origin. By empirical analyses of the economic effect of FTAs'Rules of Origin on three groups, we try to find out the reason why Rules of Origin impel regional trade and investment. In the end, this paper makes some revelations of the study of FTAs'Rules of Origin to China.
