With the increasing application of Information Technology and the continuous development of Information Technology itself,more and more organizations rely on IT systems and related infrastructure.In this context,it becomes the basic game rule for IT service providers by trying to meet the customer's requirements for the standardization and quality of IT service.An authoritative IT research organization found that in the IT project life cycle,technical or product-related problems accounted for only 20%,while process errors accounted for 40%,and personnel turnover accounted for 40%.This shows that the problem of IT operation and maintenance is not from technology,but from management.The application of ITSM makes us realize that in order to manage IT better,we need to improve both IT technology and management.ITSM is a management methodology based on ‘customer-centric,process-oriented',and the ITIL is a process-based approach recognized internationally and a set of standards and specifications for IT service management.Many organizations are thinking about how to transform the positioning of their IT departments from technology to service based on ITSM concept and ITIL practice.This article analyzes the current status of the IT management for Brady,as a typical international manufacturing enterprise,the business has been affected by IT management,and then based on the ITIL framework,finds out the key problems and causes,finally we obtained a new IT service management system through the optimization of IT organization structure and personnel arrangement,IT service management process and policy,and IT technology and security.The new service management system was implemented and continuous improvement was made during the service operation.The new IT service management system will solve many of the IT management problems for Brady,and provides more standardized,higher quality and more efficient IT services to customers around the world.We hope that our new IT service management system can be used by more similar organizations for reference.
