Competition is the key factor of business success of enterprise. It is being become fierce extremely within the software industry. A Corporation is a large scale and prestigious multinational software company. However the competitive environment faced by A Corporation had been taken place drastic change than previous: such as the rapid development of software technology, the new business model emerged, the global economy speed up the integration, the new stronger competitors IBM and Microsoft enter this field, all these displays that A corporation have to face new and severe challenges. A corporation has to make new development strategy meet local leading model because the original strategy can't suit the A corporation. This paper tries to analysis A corporation's development strategy. It analyses A corporation's external environment and industrial structure and competition base on PETS theory and Mike Porter's five forces model. To analyses A Corporation's own strategic capability base on enterprise resource, the value chain, core competitiveness, SWOT method. A corporation need to dispose the global resource rationally, to adjust the structure of value chain and enhance the core technology and products performance, focus on target market in depth. Through the upper analysis the paper formulates suitable A Corporation's strategy that is difference policy and market leader and strengthened strategy, expanded merger and acquisitions. This paper can inspire the further strategy development of A Corporation and other software company.
