Under The Perspective Of Scientific Development Concept Of Corporate Social Responsibility Research

During the 30 years of reform and opening up in China,enterprises have been playing a vital role in socioeconomic development,acting as a dominant force and a fundamental carrier of economic growth and social progress.The Chinese economic system started its transformation from planned economy to socialist market economy in early 1990's.As an integral part of the economy, enterprises were converted gradually from pure state ownership to modem enterprise system, characterized by autonomous decision making,independent profit and loss accountability,self discipline and self development.The separation of ownership and management,to a great extent, solved the problem of owner's absence,revitalizing the enterprises for rapid growth and expansion. However,as the byproduct of wealth accumulation by enterprises,some significant social issues begin to appear and deteriorate.For example,serious environmental pollution by enterprises poses severe challenges to the sustainable development of human society,over consumption of energy resources weakens the potential of development,major work accidents frequently threaten people's lives and properties,and discretionary lay-offs by enterprises makes it impossible to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of workers.A series enterprise- related events occurred in 2008 have triggered our deep thoughts.Multiple mine accidents have shocked us by the sight,San Lu contaminated milk incident has stunned the world,and several mass incidents in Guizhou and Yunnan have caused negative social impact.All of the above mentioned phenomena have a common root cause,i.e.the lack of awareness about enterprise social responsibilities in market economy.In fact,it shows the imbalance between China's social development and the high speed economic growth,a key obstacle we urgently need to overcome.This thesis studies enterprise social responsibilities from the perspective of scientific development outlook.Based on summarizing the mature theories and practices in western developed countries,the paper analyzes the existing problems,deficiencies of Chinese enterprises in fulfilling their social responsibilities,identifies the causes for such deficiencies,and proposes the path and measures for modem enterprises to shoulder their social responsibilities.The study not only provides an important perspective to the implementation of scientific development outlook,brings a new insight to the fulfillment of enterprise social responsibilities,but also has significant meaning in enriching and completing theories on enterprise social responsibilities,and serves as a good reference in establishing complete and systematic theories on development strategy for modem enterprises,enterprise management,and building enterprise culture,etc.In summary,the thesis has important practical meaning and theoretical value. Through in depth research and based on previous research findings,the paper has achieved innovations on two aspects:first,conducting Marxism localization research at micro and meso levels,instead of traditionally at macro level;second,providing a new perspective to research on enterprise social responsibilities,as well as enriching and completing enterprise development theory.However,given that research on enterprise social responsibilities is a huge system,which touches upon all aspects of the society,involves both theory and practice,and correlates with many uncertain factors,some viewpoints in the paper may be deficient and need further deliberation.
