Late Republic Of China Shaanxi Cigarette Industry

The research focuses on the development of the cigarette industry in the LatePublic of China in Shaanxi Province. The Late Public of China is from 1937 to 1949. Even though a regional cigarette market and some workshops existed in Shaanxi before 1937, the local cigarette factories and enterprises didn't come up at that time yet. As a complete industry system, there must be independent production department as the essential symbol. Therefore, I focus on the birth time of local cigarette factories coming up in Shaanxi province after 1937 in my study. It refers to the local cigarette production department, cigarette market and profits, taxes and cigarette cultural and so on. In the first part I discussed the development of Chinese National Capitalist Factories, and summarized it into four stages: The Period of Germination from 1937 to 1939; The Period of Development from 1940 to 1943; The Period of Climax from 1944 to 1946; The Period of Ebb from 1947 to 1949. And it includes the cigarette factories of Shanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Base Area and cigarette workshops in the Shaanxi province, and summarizing the historical development of Cigarette Industry System. In the second part, I analyzed the market and profits, taxes overall. In the third part, I disserted the cigarette productions and the cigarette culture, and by analyzing the cigarette industry and productions, summarizing the historical experience and lessons for our construction today.
