Industrialization and urbanization are two most important powers pushing economic development and modernization forward. Industrialization is the economic content of society, and then urbanization is the society of economic development. The research about coordination development of industrialization and urbanization is very important in developing economics. In the new period, the Chinese government put forward that we should transform the type of economic development according to the need for the new-type industrialization. Therefore, in the new situation, study on coordination development of industrialization and urbanization becomes imperative, requests that grow more and more imperative, which is of great theoretical significance. Guanzhong is an important district in the economy growth of Shaanxi province and Western China. We take it as an illustration to do the research, which can push on the benign interaction between the two, and it is of great practical significance.The paper is based on developing economics,regional economics and industrial economics, and it take Guanzhong as an illustration to study the coordination development of industrialization and urbanization. The dissertation consists of 6 parts, focusing on 4 key problems as follows. First, through the literature review of industrialization and urbanization both home and abroad, reveals the definitions and the character of industrialization and urbanization, especially gets an in-depth understanding of new-type industrialization, thus laying the foundation for the research afterward. Second, it analyzes the mean of coordination development, on the base of it, we set up an interactive mechanism for coordination development of new-type industrialization and urbanization. Which is realized like follows: new-type industrialization promotes the development of urbanization through a series of structural changes. On the other hand, urbanization can expand market demand, improve industrial efficiency, accumulate manpower, all of these would promote the process of industrialization. Third, based on existing documents, we establish a standard by which to judge the degree of coordination development between new-type industrialization and urbanization, which provides tool for practical analysis. Fourth, we use the model to judge the degree of coordination development between industrialization and urbanization in Guanzhong, and then study and put forward policy proposals on promoting the degree of coordination development in Guanzhong. It states the policy proposals including: implement the structure of urban space, give priority to the development of industries with high-tech technologies characterized by information, accelerate the upgrade of traditional industries, and so on.
