Shandong Province, The Recent Electricity Market Study

Analyses and forecasting on electricity market is an important basic work for both electric power development plan and electric power marketing. It is an important prerequisite to assure electric power to develop in a healthy way continuously. This paper analyses the situation of economic running in Shandong province and forecasts the economic development in the near future. The electric power market is also studied by sector and subsector especially in 2006 and 2007. The main factors that influence the growth of electricity demand are discussed. Forecasting for the electricity demand in 2008-2010 have been done by using many methods such as regression analytical method,consuming electricity for production value method,time sequence method , electric elasticity method and growth rate method. Electric load is also predicted by time sequence method and most using hours method. Through different methods the synthetic results are obtained. The results can be used in decision-making for electric power development.
