Xi'an, Xian yang and the surrounding cities and counties have been located in the ranks of the best accessibility. The regions of northern part of northern Shaanxi, western Shaanxi and Ankang city in southern Shaanxi have always been the region of poor accessibility.(2) The accessibility along the newly-built highways increases the fastest. Highways give great contribution to the regional comprehensive accessibility. Southern Shaanxi and Guanzhong are more balanced in distribution of accessibility. Guanzhong is of a higher level of balance, while southern Shaanxi at a low level. Shaanxi province and northern Shaanxi are less balanced.(3) All cities and counties in Shaanxi Province are divided into 4 types with the integration of regional accessibility and the regional economic level. The number of each type of cities and counties changes little in the last 10 years. The cities and counties of low accessibility and low economic level and that of high accessibility but low economic level are larger in number.(4) As to the regions of law accessibility but high economic level, if their accessibility increases rapidly, their economic level will rise faster than that of the provincial average, which will increases their status in the province. The economic in the regions of low accessibility grows much slow and their status may decline as well. |
