Purchasing management is an important part of engineering projects management and plays an important role in modern engineering projects. Adopting correct purchasing management pattern can reduce total cost of purchasing of a construction project, decrease the loss in purchasing progress, cut down purchasing risk and improve purchasing efficiency. Meanwhile, it's important for successful implement and increment of the engineering project.Based on purchasing management thesis, innovation thinking and the company background from SBC, This paper does some researches on mixed purchasing pattern for those construction enterprises or companies. At first, I analyzed the purchasing flows, running situations; existing problems about the classic purchasing management pattern named distributed purchasing and gave our option that is mixed purchasing management pattern. The mixed purchasing management pattern is a collection of centralized purchasing and distributed purchasing. And second, we analyzed the advanced analysis of this pattern and a case from SBC, and then we are easy to get a valued result that this pattern helps project management and development. And last, we researched the selection of the purchasing management pattern for all construction companies, especially big ones. For every construction company, how to select and use a purchasing pattern that adapts own and get more developing under the completive market. Using this pattern, one advantage is that centralized purchasing pattern can decrease the purchasing cost through purchase major materials. And the other is that distributed purchasing pattern can be used to the material management of construction companies.
