Based On Cold-rolled Material Flow Balance System Operations Planning Methods

With the dramastic market changes, iron&steel companies are facing the more and more diversifying, characteristicizing and fast-moving demands. How to use the existing production system to meet the market demands better is a key factor for iron&steel compnaies to succeed in the furious competition. Among all these constraints, the constraints of logistics balance is of vital importance for the normal operation of the whole production system, and also with the settle of this constraints, others can be greatly eased up, so in this paper we will mainly do studies from the viewpoint of logistics balance and also consider other constraints at the same time.Cold-rolling mill production system is the typical procedure of iron&steel companies. Its production system is very complicated, has more kinds of products, more work procedures and work flows. The settle of constriants of cold-rolling mill production system will be very useful for the settle of problems in other production systems of iron&steel companies. So this paper will focus on cold-rolling production system and aim to solve the constraints of cold-rolling production process, like the constraints of logistics balance, the constraints of equipment capabilities, inventory constraints, due date constraints, and so on, and bring up with a planning method of pulling by end processing inventory based on logistics balance in order to solve the various constraints of cold-rolling mill production system and promote its production efficiency. Also the paper will illustrate the method by the case of the 5^th cold-rolling mill production system of bao-steel co. ltd.
