The Ancient Capital City Tourism Competitiveness Evaluation System

With tourism becoming the biggest industry around the world, the relative studies on competition in tourist trade have gained much attention and emphasis at home and abroad. According to the statistical data, ancient capital has become the main distributing center and consuming center of domestic and international tourists, so it is playing one of the most important role in the development of tourism in China. To enhance the competitiveness of its'tourism is of significant importance for strengthening the competitiveness of Chinese tourism in the world tourist market.Through the analysis of the factors about the ancient capital tourism competitiveness, an assessing system of ancient capital tourism competitiveness can be built up. Meanwhile, a mathematics model is established by the AHP as well. The application of both quantitative and qualitative method contributes to evaluate ancient capital tourism scientifically and comprehensively. It's applicable to demonstrate realistic a case study. The index system directs ancient capital tourism development.The thesis consists of six parts. The first part gives a brief introduction to the background of the paper, the progress made so far in the research into consolidation worldwide, as well as the methodology followed in this paper. The second part first addresses the conception of ancient capital tourism, competitiveness, ancient capital tourism competitiveness, and then, theoretic foundation for effective research on ancient capital tourism competitiveness problem is set up. The third part makes an analysis of the main factors in influencing and resticting to ancient capital tourism competitiveness. The fourth part builds up the assessing system of ancient capital tourism competitiveness. The fifth part demonstrates of evaluating ancient capital tourism competitiveness. AHP is applied to evaluate that quantificationally. The last part talks about the conclusion. And the problems still need to be solved.
