As a more mature IT management mode, IT service management (ITSM) has been drawing more and more attention in our country.With the reform of China's port industry, the internal and external environment to NBG Info&Comm Co.,Ltd (NPIT) is changed, as well as its IT service management is also faced with new challenges. The previous passive management of NPIT can no longer satisfy the requirements of the development of IT service management.During the promotion of IT business in the operation of Ningbo Port, NPIT met many problems such as: extensive service management, lack of regulate service flow, lack of sharing of knowledge and documents management. That made it difficult to estimate the quality of service.Using the theory of IT service management (ITSM) and business process reengineering (BPR), after the research of the existing IT service managementof NPIT, this article analyzes the exist specific problems, and summarize thecauses for the problems by the analysis of external and internal environment. With the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework, this article also provides the solutions to improve IT service management from the three aspects: technology, human resource and business process.
