Many studies on work values have been done in about recent 20 years in Western countries and psychologists in China have now become interested in this field as well. From the view point of organization, with the rapid development of economy and society, in order to enact effective managemental measures, it is necessary to know the characteristics of employees' work values, analyse the factor affecting job outlook on values various. Here the structure, reliability and validity of self-developed employees' work values scale, work values' antecedents, turnover intention were examined by interviews and questionnaires from two samples of Luo yang city employees (N1 =448, N2=310), by methods of Exploratory Factor Analysis, Confirmatory Factor Analysis, variance analysis, correlation, regression, ect . Major findings are as follows:One: work values is a six-dimensional structure, including respect and prestige, the balance between work and life, self-development, physical reward, work behavior, harmoniousness and pleasure. The internal consistency reliability and the half-reliability of the self-developed scale are reasonable, so do structure validity.Two: compared with the studies in western countries, work values'dimensions in this study have a new breakthrough: the balance between work and life, harmoniousness and pleasure are regarded as 2 dividual dimensions.Three: the order of rating's mean of every dimension is : the balance between work and life, self-development, respect and prestige, physical reward, harmoniousness and pleasure, work behavior.Four: multiple differences in demographic variables such as gender, age, position, enterprise property, have been found on some dimension.There is new idea brought forth by this paper as follows:A questionnaire of employees'work values has been proposed in this study. It has a new breakthrough in structure: the balance between work and life, harmoniousness and pleasure are regarded as 2 dividual dimensions. At the same time, from the view point of demonstration, the author explores the whole characteristics of employees'work values and work values' all various of relative antecedents.
