IT industry in China is of tremendous potential and has great vitality for growth. However, if we take the approach of market competitiveness and brand influence, the domestic IT enterprises still have a long way to go. Particularly in recent years, Chinese IT enterprises are confronting with fierce competition day by day. Therefore, this thesis probes into how to use the proper public relations to work for IT enterprises and improve enterprises' reputation and public praise, especially how to use those publicly-focused events to do the event PR well for the sake of reaching the effect as"flipping a big weight off using a very small power".This thesis discusses the event PR which focuses on the IT enterprises. In this paper, the author illustrates the relevant definitions of event PR in IT enterprises and systematically classifies the events concerning with them. On the basis of events classification, this thesis largely analyzes and discusses whether IT enterprises make full use of one particular event to do the PR, and how to create an event actively to do the PR. It also puts forward useful suggestions to the shortcoming of Chinese IT enterprises' dealing with event PR. Moreover, the author expatiates on the development trend and some brand-new unfolding problems for IT enterprises.What the author really did in this thesis are as following:1)From the perspective of IT enterprises, the author tells us how IT enterprises analyze and cope with events when the publicly-focused events appear;2)The author also uses Two-Dimension analysis to discuss whether IT enterprises will make full use of the events and provide evidences for decision making of such events.3)The author discusses how IT enterprises create publicly-focused events according to their own characteristics to enhance the reputation and public praise;4)This thesis also did research on the shortcoming of Chinese IT enterprises in the process of using event PR such as lacking in quality-consciousness, sensitivity, management strategies, crisis alarm system and evaluation mechanism etc.
