Commercial Bank Branches And Service Operations Management Research

With the rapid development of information technology, commercial banking servicechanges dramatically, and it is playing a more and more important role in the economy.However, the service operation management for Chinese commercial banking is still at alow level, which does not only hamper the rapid development of commercial banking, butalso does not meet the markets' needs. The branches of commercial banks directly affectthe service level of the commercial banking. Therefore, the study on service operationmanagement for branches of commercial banks is meaningful to enhance the competitiveability of commercial banking in China. What's more, it will be very helpful for thedevelopment of the economy.Firstly, the research framework of commercial banking service was constructedaccording to characters of commercial banking and the study of related theories of serviceoperation management; secondly, the main problems of service operation management forbranches of commercial banks were analyzed; Meanwhile, an improvement plan wasproposed based on both a combination of theoretical research and empirical research, and acombination of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. Then, the simulation andoptimization methods for the service delivery system of commercial banks were studiedwith the package of Witness. By doing so, the discrete event system modeling andqueueing theory were combined. The optimal solution was explored through defining theoperational cost as a function, the optimal solution of which was given by using SimulatedAtmealing. The ability to improve the level of service operation management was indicatedwith the optimal solution above. Finally, the feasibility and effectiveness of the methodwas verified by an application research in Changzhou city.
