Zhenjiang Dagang Port Logistics System Analysis And Simulation

As the hinge of trade transportation, the logistics efficiency of container terminal relates to the circulation and quality of trade commodity as well as the development of container terminal. It also influences the economy of city and the development of enterprises around.The paper is mainly about the research on the logistics system of Zhenjiang Container Terminal. Based on the fully analysis on the theory of logistics system, a logistics system analysis process in allusion to container terminal is put forward.Firstly, the problem of this logistics system is clarified after scene investigation and study. Two improvement program as well as appraisal target are discussed. Secondly, the constitution, function and work-flow of the logistics system of Zhenjiang Container Terminal are discussed and researched deeply. A computer simulation model of this logistics system is developed based on the software of WITNESS. Then, stochastic processes in this system and their statistics rules are described and analyzed in detail. Finally, four simulation situations are designed to analyze the effect of improvement program. Whether the container terminal could face the fast increase of box quantity is then estimated.
